Track your Budi95 petrol & diesel.

Published Updated

Three taps per fill-up. One category. A monthly total you can actually do something about. Built for Malaysia's targeted RON95 and diesel subsidy.

The setup, in three steps

  1. 1

    Use "Petrol" as your category

When you log a daily expense, type Petrol in the Category field (and Diesel if you drive both). Next time, the dropdown auto-suggests it — one tap.

  2. 2

    Log every fill-up

After each pump, add a daily expense → enter the ringgit amount → pick Petrol as the category → save. Ten seconds, including the receipt photo if you want OCR.

  3. 3

    Read the monthly total

Open the Reports tab → set Category to Petrol → pick This month. The big "Total" at the top is exactly what you spent on petrol. No spreadsheet maths.

Why this matters now

RM 200

Monthly diesel subsidy cap (Budi Madani, eligible vehicles)

Refer to KPDN for current eligibility & quota

Budi95 is Malaysia's targeted fuel subsidy programme. Eligible drivers get subsidised RON95 or diesel up to a monthly cap; everything beyond it is at unsubsidised market rates. Without tracking, you only find out on the pump screen.

Spreadsheet vs Duitful

Pen, paper, or Excel

  • Forget to log a fill-up
  • Lose receipts in the glovebox
  • Re-key everything at month-end
  • No quick "what did I spend in March?"

Duitful with a Petrol category

  • One tap from the home screen
  • Snap the receipt, OCR pulls amount
  • Category remembered forever — no re-typing
  • Month total = one filter in Reports

Bonus moves

  1. 1

    Snap, don't type

Pro receipt OCR pulls the amount, date, and station name from a photo. Useful when a queue forms behind you.

  2. 2

    Split the company car

Use a separate category like Petrol · work for fill-ups you'll claim back. Reports lets you filter by either at year-end.

  3. 3

    Watch the trendline

Open Reports, pick Last 3 months, set Category to Petrol — the trend chart shows the curve. A 25% jump usually means a longer commute, not a price hike.

Common questions

Does Duitful know my Budi95 quota balance?

No — only KPDN's app does. Duitful tracks what you spent. Compare it against your remaining quota in the official channel; Duitful tells you the ringgit half of the equation.

Can I track diesel and RON95 separately?

Yes. Use two categories: RON95 and Diesel. Each fill-up gets one. Reports filters cleanly by category.

What if I pay with TNG e-Wallet or a fleet card?

Doesn't matter — log the ringgit amount, set Category to Petrol. Add the payment method to the note field if you want to remember which wallet it came from.

Does fuel data leave my phone?

No. Every entry is encrypted on-device with AES-GCM. No server has it. Even Pro receipt OCR runs locally.
